Grand annual car boot sale as part of the Strawberry Festival in Maxéville
For over ten years, the Strawberry Festival car boot sale has been one of the highlights of spring in Maxéville. Organized by the Philorail association in partnership with the City of Maxéville, this event is part of the famous Strawberry Festival that animates the town each year. With 200 to 300 exhibitors, it is among the largest car boot sales in the Nancy metropolitan area.
Exhibitors, exclusively private individuals, set up their stalls along avenue du Commandant Charcot from 6 am. Clothing, toys, books, crockery, furniture, trinkets, electronic devices, and collectibles are displayed side-by-side, offering treasure hunters a wide choice and prices for all budgets. The outdoor setting and the long avenue allow for smooth circulation between the stalls.
The car boot sale is integrated into a larger festive program: the Maxéville Strawberry Festival, an annual celebration of the town's emblematic fruit. Visitors can enjoy refreshments and food on-site, as well as entertainment and rides. Public toilets are available. This family day is an opportunity to combine treasure hunting and festivities in a joyful and popular atmosphere.
