The annual meeting for bargain hunters at the Grenay sports complex
Each year in September, the Sou des Écoles de Grenay organizes its traditional car boot sale at the town's sports complex. This family event brings together around 150 exhibitors, mainly individuals who come to offer their everyday items: crockery, clothes, toys, books, trinkets, and small furniture.
The funds raised from exhibitor registrations and the refreshment stand are entirely donated to the Sou des Écoles, an association that finances school trips, educational projects, and cultural activities for the children of the Grenay school. Participating in this car boot sale also means supporting local school life.
Grenay is a commune of nearly 4,000 inhabitants located in the Nord-Isère plain, between Bourgoin-Jallieu and L'Isle-d'Abeau. The village benefits from a pleasant living environment, surrounded by hills and fields. The sports complex, the venue for the event, offers a clear space ideal for hosting exhibitor stalls.
Arrive early to take advantage of the best finds. Exhibitors set up from 7 am and the good deals go quickly. Don't hesitate to negotiate with a smile. Bring change and a large bag to carry your purchases. The refreshment stand and light catering will allow you to regain your strength between aisles.
