A family car boot sale in the heart of Périgord vert

Every year in June, the village of Saint-Barthélemy-de-Bussière comes alive with its traditional car boot sale organized by the Amicale des Loupiots. This local association, dedicated to the village children, puts on this day of treasure hunting that brings together the inhabitants of the commune and the surrounding areas in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Outdoor setup in the village

Exhibitors set up outdoors in the village center, according to a plan drawn up by the organizers. The price is set at €2 per linear meter. From 9 am to 6 pm, treasure hunters stroll between the stalls in search of bargains: clothes, toys, books, crockery, trinkets, and everyday objects are offered by individuals.

Saint-Barthélemy-de-Bussière, a village in the Nontronnais region

Located in the Nontronnais, north of the Dordogne department, Saint-Barthélemy-de-Bussière is a small rural village in the Périgord vert. This region of wooded hills and green meadows gets its name from the lush vegetation that characterizes it. The village is located near Piégut-Pluviers, known for its Wednesday weekly market, one of the largest in the department.

An event for the benefit of the village children

The profits from the car boot sale are donated to the Amicale des Loupiots, which finances activities and outings for the commune's children throughout the year. The refreshments and food available on site also contribute to the association's funding, in a spirit of solidarity and festivity.
