A car boot sale on the Toulouse hills

Each year, the small village of Pechbusque hosts its traditional car boot sale in the Grand'Rue de la Mairie. Around 100 exhibitors — mostly individuals — take over the village streets to offer furniture, clothing, toys, tableware, books, and decorative items. Perched at over 250 meters above sea level on the southern hills of Toulouse, Pechbusque offers a remarkable rural setting with a clear view of the Pyrenees mountain range on a clear day.

A residential village with preserved charm

Pechbusque is a residential commune of about 1,500 inhabitants, attached to the canton of Castanet-Tolosan. Despite its immediate proximity to Toulouse (barely 10 km from the city center), the village has retained its rural character with its hedged paths, its pink brick houses typical of Lauragais, and its parish church. The car boot sale is one of the highlights of local community life, bringing together residents and visitors in a relaxed atmosphere.

Bargains and conviviality

The event attracts many bargain hunters from the Toulouse conurbation, seduced by the village atmosphere and the diversity of items offered. The refreshment stand set up for the occasion offers drinks and light refreshments. Exhibitor fees are particularly attractive: 10 euros for 5 linear meters, reduced to 5 euros for Pechbusque residents. Admission is free for all visitors.

Access and parking

Pechbusque is accessible by departmental road from Toulouse via Castanet-Tolosan or Vigoulet-Auzil. Parking is available near the village center. It is recommended to arrive early in the morning to take advantage of the best selection and to park easily.
