Lacépède (47360) is a village in the Garonne hillsides between Agen and Villeneuve-sur-Lot. This village owes its fame to Bernard Germain de Lacépède (1756-1825), naturalist and politician, successor to Buffon at the National Museum of Natural History. The south-facing hillsides of Lacépède produce quality wines and fruits. This rural village benefits from a pleasant geographical location between the major towns of the department.
