Car boot sale on August 15th organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Gendrey
Every August 15th, the day of the Assumption, the small village of Gendrey comes alive for its annual car boot sale organized by the Comité des Fêtes. This event has become an anticipated meeting for treasure hunters in the North Jura and the Dole region.
The exhibitors, exclusively individuals, set up in the village streets from the morning. You can find clothes, toys, dishes, trinkets, books, small furniture, and a multitude of everyday objects at low prices. The atmosphere is that of a village festival, relaxed and friendly.
Gendrey is a commune of less than 500 inhabitants located in the north of the Jura department, halfway between Dole and Pesmes. This rural village, crossed by the Clauge, retains a peaceful and green living environment. The August 15th festival and its car boot sale are one of the highlights of the year for the local community.
The Comité des Fêtes provides refreshments and light food throughout the day, allowing visitors to fully enjoy this festive moment in the heart of the Jura countryside.
