Car boot sale, craft market and village festival in the heart of Saint-Julien-aux-Bois in Corrèze
Every summer in July, the village of Saint-Julien-aux-Bois organizes its communal festival, a true local life event in Xaintrie corrézienne. The car boot sale and craft market take over the Place du Souvenir and adjacent streets, creating a lively village atmosphere where bargain hunters, artisans, and local producers mingle.
Around forty private exhibitors set up their stalls from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm to offer second-hand items, trinkets, clothing, and curiosities of all kinds. In parallel, a craft and local produce market showcases local know-how. The communal wood-fired oven is used to bake breads and sausages, a tradition that is the pride of Saint-Julien-aux-Bois and delights visitors' taste buds.
The event is not limited to the flea market: the Festival Committee orchestrates a full day of entertainment with refreshments, light catering, and activities for everyone. In the evening, the festival continues at the multi-purpose hall with a friendly meal followed by a musical show, all by reservation. Coffee is offered to exhibitors upon arrival, reflecting the welcoming spirit characteristic of these Corrèze villages.
Nestled in the green Xaintrie, between the gorges of the Dordogne and chestnut forests, Saint-Julien-aux-Bois offers an exceptional natural setting. The village is an ideal starting point for hiking to the Tours de Merle, an emblematic medieval site of the region, or for exploring the wild landscapes of this authentic and preserved Corrèze.
The car boot sale and flea market of the Saint-Julien-aux-Bois village festival returns on Saturday, July 18, 2026, on Place du Souvenir and the surrounding streets. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Saint-Julien-aux-Bois, this summer event combines a car boot sale for individuals and professionals, an artisan market, and festive entertainment in the heart of the Corrèze village.
For this 2026 edition, bargain hunters are expected from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM on Place du Souvenir and the surrounding streets. Admission is free for visitors, and pitches are also free for exhibitors (mandatory registration with the Comité des Fêtes before June 30, 2026). Exhibitors can set up from 7:00 AM.
