Every August, the Champ de Foire square of Ségur-le-Château transforms into an enchanting flea market, in the incomparable setting of this village classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. The association Les Amis de Ségur orchestrates this day which brings together about 75 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, offering trinkets, antique tableware, books, decorative objects, clothing, and curiosities of all kinds.
Ségur-le-Château is a gem of Corrèze heritage. The village winds around a meander of the Auvézère river, overlooked by the imposing ruins of the castle of the viscounts of Limoges, which dominate the lauze roofs and half-timbered facades. The noble houses of the 15th and 16th centuries, including the famous Maison Boyer, bear witness to the past prosperity of this town, which was the seat of a royal court of appeal. Strolling between the stalls of the car boot sale is also an opportunity to discover this remarkable architectural heritage.
The association Les Amis de Ségur works all year round to enhance and animate this village of character. The car boot sale flea market is one of the highlights of their summer program, attracting visitors and treasure hunters from far beyond the borders of Corrèze. The careful welcome of exhibitors, with a space at €13 for 4 x 3 meters, and the on-site refreshments and food contribute to making this day a moment of sharing and conviviality.
Visitors to the car boot sale can extend their day with a walk through the alleys of Ségur-le-Château, a stroll along the Auvézère river, or a visit to the castle ruins. The village, which has retained its medieval authenticity, offers a total change of scenery just a few kilometers from Arnac-Pompadour and Uzerche.
The car boot sale flea market of the Friends of Ségur returns in August 2026 to the Champ de Foire square of Ségur-le-Château.
