Ferrals-les-Corbières, at the foot of the massif

Ferrals-les-Corbières is a commune in the Aude located at the foot of the Corbières massif, in the wine-growing plain stretching between Narbonne and the reliefs of the Corbières. The village belongs to the Corbières appellation and produces red and rosé wines from typical grape varieties of the south of Languedoc. The commune is crossed by the Orbieu river, which descends from the inland Corbières and joins the Aude downstream from Narbonne.

The agricultural and wine-growing territory of Ferrals-les-Corbières is representative of this sector of the Aude where vineyards dominate the landscape, interspersed with garrigue and low scrubland areas.

Two editions per year: May and July

The peculiarity of the Ferrals-les-Corbières car boot sale is that it is organized twice a year, thus offering exhibitors and visitors two opportunities to meet. The May edition, in spring, benefits from the beautiful Languedoc days before the arrival of the summer heat. The July edition, in the middle of summer, takes advantage of the tourist activity of the high season and the many holidaymakers passing through the region.

This double programming reflects the associative dynamism of the commune and the loyalty of the exhibitors and visitors who support the event.

The Corbières region

The Corbières massif, overlooking Ferrals-les-Corbières, is a natural area of great diversity. The Cathar castles — Peyrepertuse, Quéribus, Aguilar — dot the ridges and offer breathtaking panoramas of the plain and the Mediterranean Sea.

The city of Narbonne, less than 30 minutes away, offers a rich cultural and gastronomic program: the Archbishop's Palace, the Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur Cathedral, the covered market Les Halles, and the city's many restaurants. The Canal de la Robine, which runs through Narbonne, is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

A dynamic association

The organization of two annual editions of the car boot sale demonstrates the dynamism of the local association of Ferrals-les-Corbières. Volunteers ensure the logistics of both events with enthusiasm, offering refreshments and light snacks on site each time. Entry is free for visitors, and pitches are available at associative rates for private exhibitors.
