Annual car boot sale of the Comité des Fêtes de Pompertuzat, rue Dieulafoy
Every year in September, the Comité des Fêtes de Pompertuzat (31450) organizes its car boot sale on rue Dieulafoy, one of the central streets of this picturesque village southeast of Toulouse. Private sellers take over the street to offer a multitude of second-hand items in an authentic village atmosphere.
For one day, rue Dieulafoy transforms into a second-hand market where you can find everything: clothes, shoes, toys, board games, books, crockery, knick-knacks, small furniture, tools, and decorative objects. The setting of this village street adds a special charm to the event, far from large supermarket car parks.
Pompertuzat is a commune of about 2,800 inhabitants located between Castanet-Tolosan and Escalquens, in the southeast of the Toulouse agglomeration. This village has preserved a remarkable architectural heritage with its church, its pink brick houses, and its narrow streets. The Comité des Fêtes animates local life throughout the year with several events, including the car boot sale which is one of the highlights.
The Pompertuzat car boot sale marks the start of September with a festive and relaxed day. Visitors can enjoy the refreshments and food run by the fête committee volunteers, while children have fun among the stalls. The profits contribute to financing local events, particularly the village festival.
