Every June, Montbouy celebrates its annual car boot sale, organized by its dynamic Comité des fêtes. Held at the old campsite, route de Gy-les-Nonains, this event brings together exhibitors and visitors in a spacious, rural setting, ideal for a long day of outdoor treasure hunting.

Montbouy, a village on the banks of the Loing

Montbouy is a village of a few hundred inhabitants located in the canton of Châtillon-Coligny, in the Loiret department. Crossed by a stream flowing into the Loing and surrounded by the plains and hedgerows characteristic of the Gâtinais region, this rural village has a discreet but authentic natural and architectural heritage. Its location in the Châtillon-Coligny area, on the border of Loiret, Yonne, and Seine-et-Marne, makes it a rural crossroads where the traditions of the different Gâtinais regions meet.

The old campsite: a spacious venue

The old campsite site, route de Gy-les-Nonains, offers generous space to accommodate the 150 exhibitors who participate in the car boot sale each year. The large available area allows everyone to have a comfortable spot and visitors to move freely from one stall to another. Individuals looking to clear out their cellars and attics mingle with a few professional second-hand dealers in a relaxed atmosphere.

A day full of finds

From 7 am to 7 pm, visitors can browse a diverse offering: country furniture and folk art objects, old tableware and table settings, books and magazines, vintage toys and games, clothing and accessories, agricultural and gardening tools, trinkets, and decorative items. Exhibitor registration is handled by the Comité des fêtes, also accessible on the Bons Plans Montargis platform.

Practical information

The pitch is offered at €2.50 per linear meter. Refreshments provided by the Comité des fêtes allow visitors to cool down during the day. Entry is free for all visitors. Exhibitors can register online via the Bons Plans Montargis website.
