The Beaucé car boot sale is an annual event organized by the festival committee of this rural commune in the Pays Fougerais. Private sellers offer a varied range of second-hand items: clothes, toys, trinkets, crockery, books, small furniture and various flea market items. The atmosphere is that of an authentic country car boot sale, where the pace is peaceful and the exchanges are warm between neighbours and bargain hunters.
Beaucé is a commune of about 1,500 inhabitants located in the canton of Fougères, northeast of Ille-et-Vilaine. The village stretches along the Rue de Paris, a historic axis that crosses the Fougères countryside. Beaucé has a village hall that hosts associative events throughout the year, from the summer car boot sale to the winter Christmas market. The immediate proximity of Fougères and its medieval castle, one of the most imposing in Europe, adds a heritage attraction to the visit.
The car boot sale is held every year in the village centre of Beaucé. Entry is free for visitors. Parking is easy along the Rue de Paris and near the village hall.
The car boot sale of the Beaucé festival committee returns in 2026.
