This popular summer event, in one of the most emblematic natural sites of the Cévennes National Park, attracts both permanent residents and the many hikers and holidaymakers present in the region during the summer.
Private sellers offer clothes, toys, books, crockery, and various items in this exceptional natural setting. The campsite hosts hundreds of campers, hikers on the GR 70 (Stevenson Trail), and holidaymakers every summer, who constitute a natural customer base for this car boot sale.
Pont-de-Montvert-Sud-Mont-Lozère (48220) is a commune in Lozère in the heart of Mont Lozère, within the Cévennes National Park. The village of Pont-de-Montvert is famous for the assassination of Abbé du Chaila in 1702, which triggered the Camisard War.
