Car boot sale in the cloister of the Jacobins of Saint-Sever, 56 exhibitors
The APE of the Parcalie school in Saint-Sever organizes a car boot sale every year in an exceptional setting: the cloister of the Jacobins, a jewel of the city's architectural heritage. This medieval convent, classified as a historic monument, offers a unique setting for a day of treasure hunting.
The convent of the Jacobins of Saint-Sever is a monastic complex founded in the 13th century. Its cloister, with its elegant arcades and interior garden, constitutes a marketplace of rare beauty. The 56 exhibitors set up their stalls under the arcades and in the adjoining rooms, offering clothes, toys, books, crockery, and second-hand everyday items.
Saint-Sever, a sub-prefecture of the Landes, is a city rich in exceptional historical heritage. The Romanesque abbey church, a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage routes, is its flagship. The APE Parcalie car boot sale is part of the active cultural life of this Chalosse town.
