Every September, the small village of Velle-sur-Moselle comes alive for a day dedicated to the car boot sale and the honey festival. Organized by the Foyer Rural, this original event combines the pleasure of treasure hunting with the discovery of the world of beekeeping and local Lorraine products.
Exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, set up their stalls along the Grande Rue, rue de la Moselle, and rue de l'Γglise. You can find all sorts of second-hand items: clothing, toys, crockery, books, trinkets, small furniture, and curiosities of all kinds. The atmosphere is family-friendly and conducive to good deals.
Alongside the car boot sale, the honey festival highlights local beekeepers and their productions. Honey of different floral varieties, gingerbread, beeswax candles, and other hive products are offered for sale. It's an opportunity to discover the fascinating work of Lorraine beekeepers and taste honeys with varied flavors.
Refreshments and food are provided by the Foyer Rural throughout the day. Visitors can thus fully enjoy this rural day in a green setting, on the banks of the Moselle.
