Monthly flea market on the Quai de Seine in Les Andelys, every 2nd Sunday from April to September
From April to September, every second Sunday of the month, the Quai de Seine in Les Andelys hosts an open-air flea market. This recurring event is part of the town's long tradition of flea markets and bargain hunting, which culminates each autumn with the Grand Déballage. These six summer events offer enthusiasts a regular opportunity to rummage by the water, in one of Normandy's most beautiful settings.
Located directly on the banks of the Seine, these flea markets offer a spectacular panorama. The river, the limestone cliffs, and the ruins of Château Gaillard form a striking backdrop for a day of bargain hunting. As the months go by, from the spring awakening in April to the last warmth of September, the atmosphere and light change, but the pleasure of discovery remains intact.
In 2026, the Summer Flea Markets will be held on the second Sundays of April, May, June, July, August, and September. Each monthly event welcomes individuals and semi-professional dealers who set up their stalls from the morning. Entry is free, and visitors can stroll at their own pace along the stalls, enjoying the idyllic setting of the Seine quays.
With these monthly flea markets and the annual Grand Déballage, Les Andelys is establishing itself as one of the most active flea market destinations in the Eure department. The town, with a population of around 8,000, welcomes visitors from all over Normandy and neighboring Île-de-France. The historic center, with its half-timbered houses and the Notre-Dame collegiate church, complements the day's attractions for heritage enthusiasts.
