From Easter to October, every 4th Sunday of the month, the port of Dahouët in Pléneuf-Val-André hosts its flea market by the water. This small historic fishing port, nestled in a deep cove of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, offers an exceptional setting for treasure hunting in the open air on the Quai des Terre-Neuvas.
Unlike a classic car boot sale, the Brocantes du Val-André bring together about ten specialized professional exhibitors. You can find antique furniture, tableware, decorative objects, curiosities, table art, and militaria. The quality of the items offered attracts antique and flea market enthusiasts from all over the north coast of Brittany.
Dahouët is one of the oldest ports on the north coast of Brittany. Once the departure port for the Terre-Neuvas (cod fishermen) heading to fish cod off Newfoundland, it retains an authentic charm with its granite houses, paved quays, and pleasure boats. Strolling between the flea market stalls while admiring the port is a unique pleasure.
Entry is free and opening hours are from 9 am to 7 pm, allowing you to fully enjoy the day. Parking is available nearby. The Pléneuf-Val-André tourist office can provide the exact dates of each event and any cancellations in case of bad weather.
