Crosne, a small commune between Montgeron and Yerres

Crosne is an Essonne commune of around 9,500 inhabitants in the eastern suburbs of Paris, between Montgeron, Yerres and Vigneux-sur-Seine. Served by RER D (Montgeron-Crosne station), it is about 30 minutes from Paris. Despite its modest size, Crosne hosts one of the largest brocante markets in eastern Essonne.

Avenue Salvador Allende: the stage for the great annual brocante

Each June, Avenue Salvador Allende hosts between 300 and 450 sellers — private individuals and professionals alike — for a marathon bargain-hunting session from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm. Early risers can pick up the best items before the crowds arrive. Professionals bring furniture, art objects and antiques; private sellers offer the usual flea market mix of clothes, toys, books and knick-knacks.

On-site catering ensures visitors can spend the whole day browsing. Free entry makes the event accessible to all and draws families and bargain hunters from Crosne, Montgeron, Yerres and beyond.
