Popular brocante in the streets of the Renaissance Vieux-Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site – autumn edition
The Vieux Lyon Brocante (autumn edition) is a unique opportunity to browse one of France's finest historic districts. The cobbled alleyways of Vieux-Lyon, its traboules and picturesque squares transform into a colourful market where private sellers and dealers display their finds: second-hand and vintage clothing, ornaments and curiosities, books, crockery, old toys, records and posters.
Vieux-Lyon, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1998, stretches along the right bank of the Saône. Its three districts — Saint-Jean, Saint-Georges and Saint-Paul — form an exceptional medieval and Renaissance ensemble with gallery houses, traboules, flowered courtyards and colourful façades.
Metro line D (Vieux Lyon – Cathédrale Saint-Jean station). Saint-Jean funiculars (to Fourvière and Saint-Just). Bus C20, C21. The district is pedestrianised, accessible from the Saône quays. Parking nearby (place Bellecour, Presqu'île).
