Flea market and car boot sale on May 1st in the village of Vittarville, in Meuse
On May 1st, the small village of Vittarville hosts its annual flea market and car boot sale. Exhibitors set up their stalls in the village streets, offering furniture, tableware, trinkets, clothing, toys, and various objects. The atmosphere is that of a village event, friendly and authentic.
Vittarville is a small village of about 100 inhabitants, located in the canton of Vigneulles-lès-Hattonchâtel. The commune, nestled in a landscape of hills and cultivated fields, retains the charm of traditional Lorraine rural housing. Stone houses, flowery gardens, and orchards create a bucolic setting that visitors appreciate during a day of treasure hunting.
The Vittarville flea market is a human-scale event, far from large gatherings. Residents of neighboring communes meet there to hunt for treasures, chat, and have a pleasant time. The day is also an opportunity to discover this discreet village in the Meuse, usually not frequented by outside visitors.
