Annual flea market and car boot sale in Écueillé, a historic town in northern Indre
The Écueillé flea market and car boot sale takes over the streets of this town with its rich railway and Romanesque heritage, offering bargain hunters a picturesque setting on the edge of Touraine berrichonne.
The Écueillé flea market and car boot sale enlivens the streets of this town of nearly 1,200 inhabitants nestled in northwestern Indre, on the border of Touraine. Exhibitors – both individuals and professionals – offer antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, toys, books, vintage clothing, tools, vinyl records, and various flea market items. The heritage setting of Écueillé, with its 12th-century Notre-Dame priory church and its famous Blanc-Argent station, a listed historic monument, adds a special charm to this day of treasure hunting.
Écueillé owes part of its fame to the Bas-Berry train, the metre-gauge Blanc-Argent line that historically connects the south of the department to the Loire Valley. Écueillé station, listed as a historic monument since 1993, is a rare example of metre-gauge railway architecture. The Notre-Dame church, a former Romanesque priory from the 12th century, modified in the 15th century, has been listed since 1987 and houses beautiful carved capitals. The town also retains a fabric of old houses and local shops that give it a lively and welcoming character.
The Écueillé flea market and car boot sale is accessible free of charge. On-site catering and a refreshment stand allow you to pleasantly extend your treasure hunting day in this charming town in Berry.
The Écueillé flea market and car boot sale returns on June 14, 2026.
