On Sunday, June 8, 2025, the main street of the village of Crozant hosted its annual large flea market and car boot sale, organized by the Comité des Fêtes. Around 200 exhibitors, both private individuals and professionals, offered antiques, furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, and collector's items at the foot of the majestic ruins of the medieval fortress, a listed historic monument.
From 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., bargain hunters from all over Creuse, Berry, and Limousin browsed the stalls in the spectacular setting of the Vallée des Peintres, at the confluence of the Creuse and Sédelle rivers. The fairground rides delighted families, while the refreshment stands and catering ensured a festive and friendly atmosphere. The more curious extended their visit with a walk on the paths overlooking the gorges, rediscovering the panoramas painted by Claude Monet and Armand Guillaumin in the 19th century.
