Large flea market and car boot sale in the streets of the medieval village of Nernier on Lake Geneva
On 24 May 2026, the medieval village of Nernier transforms into a vast open-air flea market. Around 140 exhibitors set up in the picturesque lanes, on small squares and along the quays. From 8 am to 5 pm, this event draws hundreds of visitors to browse in an incomparable setting.
Ranked among the most beautiful villages on Lake Geneva, Nernier has preserved its medieval charm with stone fishermen's houses, narrow lanes, a fortified tower and a Romanesque church. André Breton, the father of surrealism, once stayed and wrote here.
Stalls spread between stone facades, flowering wisteria and century-old plane trees. You'll find antique furniture, vintage tableware, paintings, rare books, costume jewellery, retro clothing, and antique tools.
Take the opportunity to discover Nernier's harbour, its lakeside restaurant terraces, and the hiking trails connecting the village to Yvoire, a neighbouring medieval town listed among France's Most Beautiful Villages.
