Flea market and car boot sale under the Grande Halle of Seissan, organized by Peña Fiesta Brava
Seissan (32260), a Gascon bastide nestled in the Gers valley between Auch and Masseube, hosts a flea market and car boot sale every spring under its Grande Halle. Organized by Peña Fiesta Brava, a local festive association, this event traditionally marks the opening of the flea market season in the south of Gers.
The Grande Halle de Seissan, a vast covered space in the heart of the town, offers an ideal setting for a late winter flea market. Protected from the weather, exhibitors set up their stalls over two days, Saturday and Sunday. You can find an eclectic mix of items: antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, vintage clothing, books, tools, toys, and curiosities of all kinds. The covered format allows for comfortable browsing whatever the weather.
Peña Fiesta Brava is an emblematic association of Seissan's festive life. Known for its commitment to local entertainment, it organizes this flea market in a friendly and warm spirit. Volunteers provide refreshments and food, offering local specialties that add a gourmet touch to the day's treasure hunting. The proceeds from the event help finance the association's festive activities throughout the year.
Seissan is a small Gascon bastide founded in the 13th century, located on the banks of the Gers in the heart of Astarac. The town retains remarkable architectural heritage with its market hall, half-timbered houses, and church. A land of rugby, village festivals, and Gascon traditions, Seissan embodies the art of living in deep Gers. The March flea market is naturally part of this fabric of popular events that punctuate local life.
