The Varces-Allières-et-Risset flea market: a popular biannual event

Organized twice a year — in spring and autumn — by the company Europucier, the Varces-Allières-et-Risset flea market, car boot sale, collectibles, and crafts has established itself as a major event for bargain hunters in the southern Grenoble area. Held outdoors at the École des Poussous in Risset, this event hosts up to 100 exhibitors per edition.

The originality of this event lies in its diversity: you'll find stands from individuals selling second-hand items as well as professional antique dealers offering furniture and vintage items. The collectibles section attracts enthusiasts of figurines, old postcards, and unusual objects, while local artisans display their original creations. This mix of genres makes each edition a varied and surprising treasure hunt.

Organization and access

Europucier, a specialist in organizing flea markets and car boot sales in Isère, ensures smooth logistics. The École des Poussous site, accessible from the Trièves highway, offers a pleasant outdoor space with convenient amenities: refreshments, on-site food, toilets, and disabled access. Booking is mandatory for exhibitors, with a fee of €20 for a 4-meter pitch and €30 for a minimum of 6 meters (vans and cars with trailers).

Varces-Allières-et-Risset, a town of over 6,000 inhabitants located about fifteen kilometers south of Grenoble, offers a living environment between the plain and the mountains. The flea market benefits from this green setting and its proximity to the Grenoble urban area to attract a large public of bargain hunters and Sunday strollers.
