Annual flea market in the center of Vic-sur-Aisne, on the banks of the Aisne river
Every third Sunday in September, the town of Vic-sur-Aisne hosts its annual flea market in the streets of the town center. This event brings together about 100 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, offering a wide selection of antique objects, furniture, tableware, books, and trinkets.
Vic-sur-Aisne is a town steeped in history, dominated by the remains of its 12th-century keep. Located at the confluence of the Aisne and the Rû de Retz, the town offers a picturesque setting for a day of bargain hunting. The old streets, the Saint-Léger church, and the banks of the Aisne provide a pleasant backdrop that attracts visitors for reasons beyond just the flea market.
Halfway between Soissons and Compiègne, Vic-sur-Aisne benefits from a favorable geographical location that allows it to attract bargain hunters from all over the south of Aisne and the north of Oise. The proximity of the Forêt de Retz, one of the largest state-owned forests in France, adds to the tourist appeal of this area.
