Annual flea market in the village of Vallon-en-Sully
Every second Sunday of August, Vallon-en-Sully organizes its annual flea market in the village streets. This village, crossed by the Cher river in the western part of the Allier department, offers a pleasant rural setting for this summer event. Rue Paul Constans, the main street of the village, hosts the exhibitors' stalls for several hundred meters.
Vallon-en-Sully is located in the Cher valley, on the edge of the bocage bourbonnais and the Combrailles region. The river, which flows through the village, adds a bucolic touch to the landscape. This area, halfway between Montluçon and Saint-Amand-Montrond, retains a preserved rural character that is perfectly suited to the atmosphere of village flea markets.
Opening at 6 am and closing at 5 pm makes the Vallon-en-Sully flea market a resolutely morning event. Experienced bargain hunters arrive at dawn to take advantage of the first finds, while the afternoon is more suited for strolling. The price of 2 euros per meter remains affordable for exhibitors.
