The association Creutzwald Culture et Traditions organizes its flea market several times a year on the banks of the Creutzwald body of water. This event, which has become a must-attend gathering in the mining basin, attracts between 400 and 500 exhibitors and up to 15,000 visitors per edition. The natural setting of the lake offers a pleasant walk while treasure hunting.
Creutzwald is a commune of about 13,000 inhabitants located in the Lorraine mining basin, on the Franco-German border. After the closure of the last coal mines, the town has reconverted and enhanced its natural spaces, including its body of water developed for leisure. The Creutzwald lake, bordered by green spaces and walking paths, has become the heart of the town's festive and associative life.
Flea market vendors and individuals set up without prior reservation, in order of arrival from 5 am. Refreshments and food on site allow for spending the whole day by the water. The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed, true to the spirit of large outdoor flea markets.
Flea market around the Creutzwald lake on Sunday, June 7, 2026. 400 to 500 exhibitors, free entry.
