Professional flea market at the foot of the Château de la Marthonie, in one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France
At the foot of the majestic Château de la Marthonie, in the village of Saint-Jean-de-Côle, a professional flea market brings together several times a year a selection of true antique and flea market professionals. Organized by Luis, this event offers enthusiasts a day of treasure hunting and encounters in an exceptional heritage setting.
Saint-Jean-de-Côle is classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. This small medieval town in the Périgord vert seduces with its Romanesque bridge spanning the Côle, its priory, its half-timbered houses, and its 15th-century castle. The village is also famous for its Floralies, a nationally renowned floral festival. The professional flea market is part of the cultural and heritage richness of this exceptional place.
Unlike car boot sales open to individuals, this flea market exclusively brings together selected professionals: antique dealers, second-hand dealers, and sellers of antique objects. The quality of the items presented – furniture, art objects, trinkets, paintings, curiosities – is thus guaranteed, offering visitors a high-level treasure hunting experience.
The esplanade at the foot of the Château de la Marthonie offers a spacious and shaded area, ideal for setting up stalls. The medieval atmosphere of the village, with its cobbled streets and old facades, adds incomparable charm to this flea market day. Visitors can extend their visit by discovering the priory, the church, and the banks of the Côle.
