Every first Sunday of August, the center of Pont-de-Veyle transforms into a vast open-air market where passionate treasure hunters and summer strollers mingle. Organized by the local Comité des Fêtes, this annual flea market is one of the summer highlights in the Veyle valley.

100 exhibitors along the historic streets

The flea market takes over the most picturesque streets of the village: rue du Marché, Grande Rue, and the Promenade. Around 100 exhibitors offer furniture, tableware, trinkets, vintage clothing, books, and collectibles in a charming architectural setting. The old facades and flowery alleyways of the village add a touch of poetry to this stroll among the stalls.

A village at the confluence of the Veyle and the Saône

Pont-de-Veyle, at the crossroads of Dombes and Bresse, captivates with its built heritage and its privileged geographical location. The village, easily accessible from Mâcon and Bourg-en-Bresse, invites you to extend your visit to the flea market with a walk along the Veyle or on the nearby banks of the Saône. Food lovers will appreciate the local gastronomy, between Bresse poultry and Dombes fish.

The first Sunday of August offers ideal conditions for this summer flea market. The shaded alleys of the town center protect visitors and exhibitors from the heat, while the proximity of the Veyle brings welcome coolness. Practical Information

Exhibitor check-in begins at 4 am at the Rond-point de la Poste, without prior reservation, at a rate of 2.50 euros per linear meter. Coffee is offered to each exhibitor. Visitors can enjoy the flea market from 6 am to 6 pm, with free entry. Refreshments and food are organized by the Comité des Fêtes, offering local specialties and cold drinks.
