Onlay est l'un de ces villages du Morvan profond où le temps semble s'être arrêté. Avec 200 habitants à peine, la commune réussit pourtant à organiser chaque 15 août une brocante qui attire les chineurs des alentours. L'association ADERE anime cette manifestation dans le bourg, entre les maisons de granit et les prairies d'altitude.
