Great summer flea market in the heart of the most beautiful village in Drôme Provençale
In July, Grignan lives to the rhythm of its famous Night Festivals which animate the Renaissance castle every evening. In this particularly rich summer context, the Brocante d'été adds its touch of daytime conviviality by taking over the village spaces for a whole day of bargain hunting and discoveries.
Perched on its rocky outcrop, the Château de Grignan overlooks one of the most beautiful landscapes of northern Provence. This Renaissance castle, one of the largest in the South of France, was the residence of François Adhémar de Monteil, Count of Grignan, son-in-law of the famous letter writer Madame de Sévigné. Its majestic architecture and French gardens provide an extraordinary setting for this summer flea market.
The cobbled streets of Grignan, the shaded squares, and the terraces offer a picturesque bargain hunting route. Exhibitors, a mix of professional dealers and individuals, offer Provençal and Southern furniture, ceramics and earthenware from the South, antique linens, silverware, trinkets, and collector's items. The summer atmosphere and the beauty of the site attract a large and diverse clientele, sometimes coming from afar for this occasion.
Taking advantage of the Brocante d'été to discover or rediscover Grignan is an invitation to a rich day. In the morning, bargain hunting and good deals; in the afternoon, visit the castle and its collections; in the evening, the spectacle of the Night Festivals under the Provençal stars. The village also offers quality shops, restaurants, and artisan crafts in an authentic Provençal atmosphere.
