Flea market at the École les Genêts in Freyming-Merlebach
The École les Genêts in Freyming-Merlebach hosts a flea market where exhibitors offer second-hand items, trinkets, clothing, and various finds. The event takes place in a friendly and family-oriented atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of this mining basin commune that has preserved a strong sense of solidarity.
Freyming-Merlebach is a town of 13,000 inhabitants, formed by the merger of Freyming and Merlebach in 1971. Located in the Lorraine mining basin, on the border with German Saarland, the town lived for a long time to the rhythm of coal extraction. After the closure of the mines, it embarked on an economic and urban redevelopment while preserving a strong memory of its industrial past.
