Linas Flower Festival Brocante: two days of festivities and bargain hunting

Every late June, Linas is adorned with flowers for its grand annual Flower Festival, of which the brocante is a highlight. Organised by the Town Hall (linas.fr), the event spans two days with a complete festive programme: funfair with rides, a concert, a floral float parade through the town centre streets, and the brocante attracting sellers and bargain hunters from across the region.

Seller fees: 5€/linear metre for Linas residents, 7€/linear metre for outsiders. Registration closes 31 May.

Linas, the commune next to Montlhéry and the famous circuit

Linas is an Essonne commune of around 5,000 inhabitants, immediately adjacent to Montlhéry. The famous Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry — whose name associates both communes — is largely on Linas's territory. Inaugurated in 1924, this legendary speed circuit was the venue for world speed records by Citroën, Renault and Bugatti.
