The great Sunday flea market at the foot of the Rocher de Roquebrune
Every Sunday, on a 4-hectare site facing the iconic Rocher de Roquebrune, the Lac Arena Flea Market brings together up to 200 exhibitors, both private sellers and professionals. From 6am to 3pm, bargain hunters comb the aisles in search of antiques, vintage furniture, tableware, clothing, books and collectibles. One of the biggest weekly flea markets in the Var, between the Estérel and the French Riviera.
In the mineral setting of the Rocher de Roquebrune, at the gates of the Estérel massif and minutes from the Saint-Tropez bay, the Lac Arena Flea Market has become one of the largest weekly brocante and vide-grenier events in the Var. Every Sunday of the year, whatever the season, up to 200 exhibitors set out their stalls on a vast 4-hectare ground along the Lac Arena, a former sand quarry turned natural jewel fed by the Argens river.
From 6am, the first trailers roll in under the golden light of the Rock. By 8am the experienced hunters are already there, coffee in hand — management actually offers a welcome coffee with the entrance ticket between 6:30 and 10am. The mood is that of a big Mediterranean market, lively and varied, where locals, holidaymakers, professional dealers and Sunday strollers meet.
The scale guarantees remarkable variety. Professionals offer antique and vintage furniture, Art Deco and Mid-Century pieces, porcelain, silverware, antique clocks, paintings, glassware, designer lighting. Private sellers bring clothing, toys, books, vinyl, tableware, small furniture and Provençal décor.
The site itself is part of the pleasure. The Lac Arena, lined with pines, offers a rare backdrop for a flea market: the Rocher de Roquebrune dominates the horizon, the Estérel massifs hint in the north, and the Provençal light enhances every stall. Free 500-space car park, public toilets, snack bar and restaurant on site.
No prior booking: registration happens on arrival within the 200 available spots. Flat fee of €15 for approximately 5 linear metres. ID required (both sides), business registration (KBIS) for professionals. Tables can be rented on site. Pets welcome.
