Brocante and Car Boot Sale of Belcastel

The Brocante and Car Boot Sale of Belcastel took over the banks of the Aveyron and the village alleys for the May 18, 2025 edition. Organized by the Comité des fêtes de Belcastel, this event transformed this medieval village, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, into a vast open-air market, from 8 am to 7 pm.

The stalls were set up along the Route des Berges de l'Aveyron, through the historic village center and into the municipal campsite area. Visitors could browse through stalls offering old tableware, knick-knacks, books, clothing, toys, tools, and small furniture, all while enjoying the exceptional setting of the village: the 11th-century fortress overlooking the lauze-roofed houses, the 15th-century Old Bridge spanning the clear waters of the Aveyron, and the Sainte-Madeleine Church housing its remarkable sculptural heritage.

Free entry and the relaxed atmosphere by the river made this day a typically Aveyronnais moment of conviviality, in a village whose preserved medieval charm attracts many visitors each year from across the department and beyond.
