Charitable flea market for the benefit of the Friends of Animals of Digne
The Friends of Animals of Digne (ADA) organize a large charitable flea market every year in Digne-les-Bains, for the benefit of the animal shelter. The event takes place over three days, from Thursday to Saturday, and offers various objects, clothes, books, and trinkets donated by local residents. All profits are donated to the Digne shelter for the well-being of the animals.
Every year in May, the Friends of Animals of Digne (ADA) organize a charitable flea market in Digne-les-Bains, with all profits going to the city's animal shelter. This generous initiative helps fund veterinary care, food, and accommodation for the animals taken in.
The shelter's flea market is distinguished by its exceptional duration: it is held over three days, from Thursday to Saturday. This format allows visitors to come at their convenience and explore the stalls at their own pace. Opening hours are 9 AM to 5 PM on Thursday and Friday, and 9 AM to 3 PM on Saturday.
The items offered for sale come from donations from residents of Digne-les-Bains and surrounding towns. You can find everything: clothes, books, dishes, toys, small furniture, trinkets, and sometimes real treasures. Prices are deliberately kept affordable to encourage sales and maximize revenue for the shelter.
The Friends of Animals of Digne association has been working for many years for animal protection in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region. The shelter takes in dogs, cats, and other abandoned or mistreated animals, offering them care and affection while awaiting adoption. The annual flea market is one of their key fundraising events.
The Digne shelter flea market returns from May 14 to 16, 2026.
