Thirty-eight years of friendly treasure hunting in a Val-d'Oise village
Set in the Pays de France, some 35 km north-east of Paris, Mareil-en-France is a small Val-d'Oise village of fewer than 2,000 inhabitants known for its green surroundings and lively community life. At the heart of that community, the Foyer Rural de Mareil-en-France has been organising an annual flea market since 1989, which has grown over the decades into a popular regional gathering.
The 38th edition takes place on Sunday 10 May 2026 along the village streets — rue Montguichet, rue du Moulin and rue de la Fontaine — transformed for the day into an open-air market. Stand positions are assigned in the order of reservation.
True to the spirit of its founding, the Mareil flea market is open exclusively to private individuals: only second-hand personal items may be sold. No professional dealers, no goods bought for resale. This rule, enforced jointly by the organisers and the local gendarmerie, guarantees the authenticity of the event and the quality of finds on offer.
Sellers must be set up before 8:00 AM and are required to remain until 6:00 PM. Stand rental costs €7 per linear metre when reserved in advance, or €10 on the day (subject to availability). Entry is free for visitors.
