30th edition of the great flea market of Simorre, 100 exhibitors throughout the village of this medieval bastide
The Simorre flea market celebrates its 30th edition in 2026, an anniversary that testifies to the event's deep roots in local life. Around 100 exhibitors take over the streets and squares of this magnificent medieval village in the Gers region. Pitch costs 3 euros per linear meter. Visitors wander through the village, between half-timbered houses and a fortified church, in a festive Gascon atmosphere.
Simorre (32420), a medieval jewel of the Gersois Astarac, celebrates the 30th edition of its great annual flea market in 2026. For thirty years, this village, listed among the most beautiful in the Gers, has opened its alleys and squares to a hundred exhibitors, transforming the entire town into a vast open-air treasure hunting space.
The unique feature of the Simorre flea market is its format: the entire village is taken over by exhibitors. From the cobbled streets to the shaded squares, including the surroundings of the fortified church and picturesque dead ends, every corner of the town becomes a space for discovery. The 100 exhibitors expected will offer antique furniture, decorative objects, trinkets, tableware, antique linens, tools, books, and curiosities of all kinds. This spread throughout the area invites strolling and simultaneous discovery of the architectural heritage.
Simorre boasts remarkable architectural heritage, dominated by its fortified abbey church, a listed historic monument dating from the 14th century, with its characteristic red bricks and ancient stained glass windows. The village retains its half-timbered houses, medieval alleys, and the atmosphere of a preserved Gascon town. Hunting for treasures in Simorre is like traveling back in time, between the stalls of antique objects and the centuries-old facades of this Astarac bastide.
Reaching the 30th edition is an achievement for a rural village flea market. This longevity demonstrates the commitment of the organizers, the support of the municipality, and the loyalty of exhibitors and visitors. Over the years, the Simorre flea market has established itself as a major event on the Gers calendar, attracting flea market enthusiasts from all over the southwest. The pitch at 3 euros per linear meter remains affordable, helping to maintain a high number of exhibitors and a diverse offering.
The 30th edition of the Simorre flea market will be held on August 23, 2026. 100 exhibitors expected throughout the medieval village. Pitch at €3/m. Free admission.
