Sunday bargain hunt in a Picard village
The Saint-Sauveur Flea Market takes place on Sunday 13 September 2026 in this peaceful Picard village between Amiens and Flixecourt. Deeply rooted in the Nièvre valley, this annual réderie gathers private sellers and bargain hunters in a convivial Somme atmosphere. Free entry, family vibe and on-site refreshments make this event a key moment of late summer in Picardy.
Saint-Sauveur, a small village of just over a thousand inhabitants in the canton of Flixecourt, hosts its annual Sunday flea market each September. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday 13 September, a day devoted to bargain hunting and conviviality in the village centre. In the purest tradition of the Picard réderie, the event mixes house-clearance sales, private stalls and a few semi-professional dealers from neighbouring towns.
The day offers a genuine treasure hunt: antique furniture, rustic tableware, household linen, books, old tools, toys, vinyl records, grandmother's trinkets and decorative items. You will also meet sellers specialised in vintage clothing, childcare goods or old games. The absence of large professional dealers makes for friendly haggling, in the village-fair spirit that characterises Picard réderies.
The charm of this flea market lies in its human scale. Residents bring out their treasures on the pavement in front of their homes, neighbours meet up and children look out for rare finds. A cool drinks stand and a few local pancakes or fries complete the gourmet offer. The pace is relaxed: time to chat, to haggle and to wander.
Take advantage of your visit to discover the Nièvre valley, a tributary of the Somme, and its preserved rural landscapes. The neighbouring villages (Vignacourt, Flixecourt, Picquigny) offer heritage stops between Romanesque churches, marshes and former textile towns. About 20 km north-west of Amiens, Saint-Sauveur is easily reached via the D97.
