Spring Flea Market of Livry-Gargan: a cherished annual tradition

When May comes around, residents of Livry-Gargan know that Allée Rémond is about to transform. Organised by the municipality for many years, the Spring Flea Market is one of the most eagerly awaited events in the town. Each edition sees residents of the alley open their homes first, clearing out their attics before the rest of the town — and then non-residents — join in.

A neighbourhood in festive mode

The green and residential Danton neighbourhood offers the ideal setting for this kind of event: Allée Rémond, lined with houses and gardens, becomes an open-air market promenade. Stalls stretch for hundreds of metres, offering a wide variety of items: clothing of all sizes, books for children and adults, well-kept toys, crockery, small appliances, trinkets and various objects. The atmosphere is family-friendly, relaxed and quintessentially neighbourhood-style.

Organisation and access

The town of Livry-Gargan manages exhibitor registration itself, following a priority schedule: residents of Allée Rémond (numbers 21 to 62) have absolute priority from late April, followed by all residents of Livry-Gargan, then non-residents depending on available spaces. Registration is done online or directly at the Administrative Centre. The event takes place on Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
