Every spring, generally in May, the Mantelot lock site in Châtillon-sur-Loire (45360) hosts the flea market/car boot sale organized by the town's Festival Committee. This exceptional natural setting, on the banks of the lateral canal of the Loire, makes this event one of the most picturesque and popular in the Loiret department.

The Mantelot lock, on the lateral canal to the Loire, is a remarkable hydraulic heritage site. Surrounded by greenery, with the canal and the Loire as a backdrop, it offers a unique setting for this open-air car boot sale. Exhibitors set up along the towpaths and grassy areas, creating a country market of rare beauty.

The Festival Committee's Second Annual Car Boot Sale

The Brocante de Mantelot is the second annual event organized by the Châtillon-sur-Loire Festival Committee, following the Travards car boot sale in April and preceding the Champ de Foire flea market on November 11th. This well-structured schedule allows the Committee to liven up the town throughout the year and offer its treasure hunting event each season.

A Large Crowd by the Water

The Brocante de Mantelot is known for attracting large crowds. The site, accessible from the center of Châtillon-sur-Loire, is popular with families, strollers, and flea market enthusiasts who take the opportunity for a pleasant walk by the water. Practical Information for Exhibitors

Exhibitors can set up from 6 am at a rate of €2 per linear meter. Reservations can be made by contacting the Festival Committee at 06 25 54 49 68 or 07 82 49 23 97. Food and drinks are available on-site all day.
