Brocante de Mance: tradition and conviviality in the Pays de Briey

Each year in May, the Mance district, within the new commune of Val de Briey, hosts its annual flea market on the Place de la Mairie. Organized by the FEP Mance Loisirs association, this event brings together about 100 exhibitors for a day of outdoor treasure hunting, from 7 am to 6 pm.

The FEP Mance Loisirs association (Foyer d'Éducation Populaire) is the pillar of associative life in the Mance district. Its volunteers organize the annual flea market and ensure the reception of exhibitors, catering, and refreshments throughout the day. This event is one of the highlights of the local associative calendar, contributing to the dynamism of the district and social connection among residents.

Mance, district of Val de Briey

Mance is a former town, now a district of the new commune of Val de Briey, in the north of Meurthe-et-Moselle. Located in the Pays de Briey, this former steel industry area has managed to reinvent itself while preserving its heritage and identity. The Place de la Mairie, the heart of the district, offers a clear space ideal for hosting the flea market stalls in a pleasant setting.

Around 100 exhibitors from 7 am to 6 pm

The Brocante de Mance brings together around 100 exhibitors, professionals and individuals, offering furniture, tableware, trinkets, tools, books, clothing, and collectibles. The early opening at 7 am allows the most motivated treasure hunters to find the best deals. The event continues until 6 pm, with refreshments and catering on-site provided by the volunteers of FEP Mance Loisirs.
