Every early April, the Vivier site in Folembray hosts the village's annual flea market. This town in the Aisne region, located in the Coucy forest between Laon and Soissons, offers a pleasant natural setting for this outdoor event which brings together around 70 exhibitors.
Le Vivier is an emblematic site of Folembray, a former glassmaking town whose industrial history dates back to the 14th century. It is on this square, in the heart of the village, that exhibitors set up their stalls of flea market items, car boot sale goods, and various objects. The green and tree-lined setting adds to the charm of this treasure hunting day.
Organized by the Folembray festival committee, this human-sized flea market prioritizes conviviality. Exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, offer antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, clothing, and collectible items. Refreshments and food available on site allow visitors to spend the day in good conditions.
Folembray is a town rich in history, known for its former glassworks and for the Treaty of Folembray signed in 1596. Nestled in the Coucy-Basse state forest, it offers a preserved natural environment that invites you to take a walk before or after the flea market, exploring forest paths and architectural heritage.
