An authentic rural brocante

A human-scale event typical of small Vendée villages. Saturday 11 April 2026. Unlike a private flea market, a brocante may include semi-pro sellers or antiquarians — sometimes higher quality and more original items.

Curzon, South-Vendée village

Commune of around 400, in South Vendée between Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits and Luçon. Rural. Agricultural plain, cereal fields, pastures, scattered hamlets. Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption church and old houses.

Maritime Marsh gateway

Ideal for discovering the maritime Poitevin Marsh extending south to L'Aiguillon-sur-Mer. One of Vendée's most interesting agro-ecological frontiers.

Near the coast

Wild La Tranche-sur-Mer beaches 15 min away. Jard-sur-Mer, Longeville-sur-Mer and forests similarly close. Good base for brocante + coastal escape.

Extending the visit

Head to the coast: La Tranche beaches, Jard port, Longeville pinewoods. Inland: Luçon with its superb Notre-Dame cathedral, Moutiers halles.
