The summer flea market at the foot of the Renaissance château of Coulonges
The Flea Market of Coulonges-sur-l'Autize takes place each summer in the heart of this historic town in Deux-Sèvres, dominated by its remarkable Renaissance château. Professional dealers and private sellers line the streets of the centre with a wide selection of antique objects, vintage furniture and curiosities. A convivial gathering in one of the finest villages of the Gâtinais area, at the crossroads of the Marais Poitevin and the Gâtine.
Each summer, Coulonges-sur-l'Autize opens its streets to bargain hunters and lovers of fine finds. This summer flea market, which has become an eagerly awaited event in the Deux-Sèvres calendar, spreads through the town centre of this history-rich commune, at the foot of the imposing Renaissance château built in the 16th century by the d'Estissac family.
The Château de Coulonges-sur-l'Autize, a listed Historic Monument, provides a remarkable setting for the event. Its sculpted vaulted kitchens, considered a jewel of Renaissance architecture in Poitou, bear witness to the richness of this territory.
The flea market combines professional and private exhibitors, offering a varied range of objects: antique and vintage furniture, crockery, ornaments, books, retro clothing, old tools and small decorative items. The relaxed country market atmosphere invites you to take your time and rummage through boxes for unexpected finds.
