Free flea market in the streets of Chaudun, organized by the Comité des Fêtes
Chaudun, a small village in the Aisne region located a few kilometers north of Soissons, holds its flea markets twice a year in Jean Jaurès and Lucien Lienart streets. The Comité des Fêtes de Chaudun, organizer of the event, stands out for its generosity: pitches are free for exhibitors, who are even offered a welcome coffee.
The free pitches are a major asset of the Chaudun flea market. This encouraging policy attracts individuals and professionals, bringing together between 50 and 100 exhibitors. The coffee offered upon arrival for vendors reflects the friendly spirit that characterizes this village event, where people come as much to hunt for treasures as to meet up with neighbors.
The Comité des Fêtes traditionally organizes two flea markets: one in the spring, in April, and a second in September. This double schedule allows enthusiasts to meet twice a year, increasing their chances of finding that sought-after item.
Chaudun benefits from its immediate proximity to Soissons, one of the most historic cities in the Aisne. Bargain hunters can combine a visit to the flea market with exploring the heritage of Soissons: Saint-Gervais-et-Saint-Protais Cathedral, Saint-Jean-des-Vignes Abbey, the Arsenal Museum. A Sunday rich in discoveries.
