Annual flea market on the Allée des Soupirs in Blaye, at the foot of the Vauban citadel
Every spring, the Broc' à Blaye takes over the Allée des Soupirs, a tree-lined promenade in the heart of Blaye. This outdoor flea market attracts bargain hunters from all over Haute Gironde and beyond, in a remarkable heritage setting dominated by the Vauban citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Exhibitors offer furniture, trinkets, antique tableware, books, decorative items, and curiosities.
Blaye is a charming small town located on the right bank of the Gironde estuary, opposite the Médoc region. Dominated by its citadel, built by Vauban in the 17th century, the town offers a striking panorama of the estuary and surrounding vineyards. The Allée des Soupirs, lined with large trees, is a popular promenade and an ideal setting for outdoor events. The Broc' à Blaye is part of the tradition of markets and fairs that animate the town throughout the year.
The Broc' à Blaye is known for its friendly and family atmosphere. In addition to the flea market, the event features a plant area with horticulturists and nursery owners, as well as on-site catering to extend the day of bargain hunting. Visitors appreciate being able to combine a visit to the citadel, a stroll along the estuary quays, and discovering the flea market stalls all in one day.
