Flea market and festive day in spring in this residential commune south of the Lyon Metropolis
The Brignais Festive Day is one of the popular spring events in this commune in the south of the Lyon Metropolis. Every year in May, the private sellers' flea market transforms Brignais's public spaces into a vast treasure hunt market. Clothes, toys, books, trinkets, crockery and all kinds of objects are on offer for bargain hunters and families alike. The entertainment that accompanies the flea market enhances the festive spirit of the day, making this event a much-appreciated moment of conviviality for local residents and visitors.
Brignais is a commune of nearly 12,000 inhabitants, a member of the Lyon Metropolis, located about ten kilometers southwest of Lyon between the Rhône plain and the first hillsides of the Lyonnais region. Primarily a residential commune, Brignais benefits from an ideal geographical position between Lyon and the natural spaces of western Lyon, with quick access to the A7 and A450 motorways. The commune has well-developed sports and cultural facilities and an active community network that enlivens local life throughout the year.
Brignais is accessible from Lyon by TCL bus or by car via the A7 (Brignais/Givors exit) or the A450. Parking available.
