Bric à brac and local producers market on Ascension Day in Anais in Charente
Every Ascension Day Thursday, the village of Anais hosts an original event combining a bric à brac and a large market of local producers. Organized by US Anais (Union Sportive d'Anais), this event brings together between 100 and 200 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, on the football field and the town hall car park.
The originality of this event lies in the combination of a classic bric à brac, with its stalls of clothing, toys, trinkets and second-hand items, and a producers' market offering Charente regional specialties. Visitors can thus hunt for treasures while discovering local products: goat cheese, honey, jam, charcuterie, local wines and other delicacies.
Anais is a rural commune located north of Angoulême, in a landscape of hills and hedgerows typical of Charente. The village, crossed by the road to Mansle, retains its rural and welcoming character. Exhibitors set up without reservation, in order of arrival from 6 a.m., on the football field or the town hall car park.
